Influencers

Fantastic night reconnecting with great friends in Bloomington, MN! These ladies have each positively influenced me in unique ways. Seam was a recruiter at Pearson who believed in me, and was my biggest champion in my career transition. Vickie and I worked together at Pearson and both had a passion for continuous improvement. She, too, was a champion for me thru my career transition. Deb and I worked together thru three acquisitions and mergers: NCS, Pearson, and Scantron. She wrote all my proposals for many years. These are treasured friends who left an impression on my heart. Who has positively influenced your life?  #blessed#gratefulheart #livingvibrantly #livingmydream #friendsforever

Turning Irritants into Pearls

It was so much fun inspiring the ladies from Faith Baptist Fellowship in Linden, MI to turn their irritants into pearls so that "you will sparkle like jewels in a crown; how attractive and beautiful you'll be."

The ladies ranged in age from 18 - 88!

Family's are a Heritage

I am blessed to come from a big family with a rich heritage. Every August approximately 150 of us get together on a farm to eat chicken corn soup and rekindle relationships. This has been happening for decards - 50 years of chicken corn soup on a farm; maybe 75 years or more all together. Today someone posted this picture of Grammy Shaubach and Grammy Rhoads. I think the lady on the left would be my great-great grandmother. The one on the right is my great grandmother whom I never met. She birthed 12 children, one of whom was my grandmother.
As I looked at this picture, if it was an August reunion, I wondered, "Can you even imagine wearing those long dresses in the heat of summer in Pennsylvania? And those shoes? Where are their tank tops and flip flops? The woman on the left, great-great grammy, looks like she's melting." She's probably quite old. I'd be having a heat stroke if that were me. Along with my family legacy, I'm grateful for air conditioning and skimpier clothes!
